Moya is delighted to announce she’ll be continuing her tour with Rod Stewart, after a personal invitation to return later this year, for an extra 9 UK dates.
After a hugely successful arena tour this June/July across the UK and Europe, including two nights at London’s O2, Moya was bowled over on the last night of the tour, when there was a knock on her door, from the legend himself.
“Rod knocked on my dressing room door and actually took the time to ask me back for the new dates, which I really didn’t expect,” says the fast rising UK singer, recently dubbed a ‘One to Watch,’ from the Independent.
“Touring with Rod has been the biggest moment of my career so far and I’m delighted I can continue. It’s been such a learning curve too. He’s such a dynamic performer, I’ve learnt so much from watching him. It’s made me a better performer.”
The new dates include shows in Liverpool and Newcastle, a first for Moya, along with two more nights at London’s O2 and four nights at Glasgow’s brand new Hydro arena.
The shows will also coincide with the release of Moya’s new single, “Come and Get It” out September 23rd. With her sights set firmly on breaking the UK charts, ‘Come and Get It’ bursts with an attitude we’ve yet to see from the 22-year old singer. Piano driven, armed with a killer hook and vocals that are clearer and brighter sounding than ever before, it’s clear Moya is on the path to something big.
Moya is currently putting the finishing touches to a new EP, which will feature the new single alongside five other new tracks. She plays V Festival on 17th and 18th August, along with Hardwick Live on September 14th with Texas, Jools Holland and Alison Moyet. Plus with talk of Moya’s own headline tour later this year; all eyes are on the young singer/songwriter.
